1. american definition of poverty is way too pessimistic: average russian's income is ~$230/month, and Moscow is the world's third most expensive city. How about that?
2. I'm missing the dangers of my life in RF - here everything is absurdly safe. I think america is abusing its citizens with safety. Seriously. That's why the suicide rates are so high - people are killed by (or kill because of) boredom

I'm seeing your a young American so you get lied to quite regularly by your media/schools so let me address some of your points:
At least the Americans are doing something.
Right, going and bombing the shit out of vastly inferior nations while starving or forcing poverty upon a great deal of the worlds population through unfair (and anti free market) trade agreements while supporting oppressive and undemocratic regimes (Israel, Pakistan and Zimbabwe to name some off the top of my head), is doing something; but is it the right thing? Perhaps not. Perhaps opening trade boundaries, supporting and subjecting yourself to international law, whilst pursuing the terrorists that wish to destroy our values of freedom, democracy and peace.
why is it an illegal war?
Because the all wars (or armed conflicts) initiated that are not directly sanctioned by the UN are illegal. The justification of the war against Iraq by the USA/UK came from limited armed actions permitted by UN resolutions passed in 1991. Also the treatment of un-uniformed combatants taken from Afghanistan and Pakistan is counter to the Geneva Convention and immoral in the extreme (it is essentially a state sanctioned kidnapping and will probably result in the US state committing murder under current laws).

Well if that isn't a load of unjustified nazi crap then I don't know what is. Your economy would collapse without your immigrant population, and it doesn't address any of the points I made in the piece. Anyway all Americans were originally illegal immigrants, unless you've got Native American blood.
